What are cookies?
A cookie is a text file saved in the users' computers when they access a website, and provides information whenever the user returns to that same website. It is a sort of reminder of the visited web page. Thanks to cookies, the web server sends the users' browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc) information stored in the users' computers. This information will be reread and updated every time users return to that same website. This way the website can automatically adapt to its users. While browsing, users may receive cookies from different websites (third-party cookies) set by the managers of those websites and used for the purposes defined by them. According to their duration, cookies are divided into session cookies (i.e., temporary ones, which are deleted automatically by the terminal when navigation ends by closing the browser), and persistent cookies, which are stored in a users' device until they expire or the user deletes them.
According to their function and purpose, cookies may be divided into technical and profiling.
Technical cookies
Some cookies are used to carry out IT authentications, session monitoring, and to store specific information about users accessing a web page. These so-called technical cookies do not require the users' consent.
This category includes analytics cookies that collect information to understand how users interact with websites in order to improve them. For example, analytics cookies show you what the most frequently visited pages are, what usage patterns websites have, and help understand the difficulties users encounter when using a particular website.
Profiling cookies
Other cookies may be used to monitor and profile users during navigation, analysing their movements, web surfing habits and fruition (what they buy, read, etc.), also to send them targeted and personalized ads. These are profiling cookies. Users must authorise their usage by
accepting art. 7 of EU Regulation 2016/679.
Third-party cookies
Some web pages may contain other website cookies within elements found on the same web page, e.g., banners, images, videos, maps and specific links to other domain webpages found in servers different from the one containing the required web page. These cookies are set by website managers of different servers from the one in use. They are generally third-party cookies for profiling purposes. To be used they must be authorised by users.
Types of cookies found on our website
The main functions of cookies found on www.webulbs.eu are technical, as they are placed to improve service constantly, for authentication, statistical purposes, and to keep track of website visits. The use of cookies is therefore strictly associated with facilitating the server functions during navigation of this service.
The website also allows third-party cookies to be sent. They are not ours, and to have further information about them, you can access their policy and acquisition forms of third-party consent by clicking on the links provided.
To improve our website, and understand which parts or elements our users like best, Google Analytics third-party cookies and Facebook Pixels are used as anonymous and aggregate analysis tools. They are not managed by us and for further information, please check the Google and Facebook policies.
Our web pages may contain widgets and Facebook and Google Plus share buttons to allow users to share our web content on their social media, as well as interact with our channels. We do not manage these cookies, which are created by Facebook and Google, respectively, when you use their widget or share button. For further information, visit the Facebook and Google notices.
Some web pages may incorporate YouTube videos. When clicking on them, you may activate YouTube cookies . We do not manage those cookies. For further information, see the Google policy. Our website may use Facebook ADS programs managed by Facebook Inc., Google Adwords and Google Remarketing technology, which are managed by Google Inc. The monitoring function of Facebook Ads and AdWords conversions also uses cookies to help us track sales and other conversions.

You can therefore disable the use of cookies by following the disabling procedure of your browser.

Cookies may be set, if social networks provide for this, only when users actually and voluntarily use plugins.
